Overview of the first Talk (ESG):

With the participation of leading experts from all over the world, FSC’s first talk will be launched on September 27th, 2021, in the presence of a number of Ministers and Government leaders to talk about Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG) and discuss its implications, key opportunities and latest developments within the financial sector.

The event will also discuss several topics related to the role of ESG in global financial system, including the following themes:

  • Ecosystem through ESG in KSA: Opportunities and Challenges
  • The growing importance of ESG for a sustainable economy
  • ESG globally.
  • ESG and Capital Markets.
The importance of discussing these themes comes from the growing importance of sustainable investment in the pre-Covid-19 pandemic period. In addition, the health, economic and social implications of Covid-19 pandemic prompted global leaders to call for "building back better" by placing sustainable investment, environmental, social and corporate governance and climate change considerations at the forefront of the international agenda. The financial sector and global investors are increasingly moving towards sustainable investment.

The Conference Objectives

As part of the Financial Sector Development Program, the Kingdom will host the Financial Sector Conference in (24 – 25) April 2019, under the generous patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Majesty King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud.
